Day 16: Sarah The Rebel

 Austin is so good.

Austin is so good.

I was all prepared to attend a 1-day meditation retreat on Saturday. I got to the Meditation Center with yoga pants on and lunch sack packed. I was feeling smug and in control as I sat on my cushion at 8am. Then, I lost my mind.

"WHY AM I HERE?"

"I DON'T KNOW SARAH, WHY ARE YOU HERE?"

"I'm hungover, just chill."

"No wait, that's what I want to do, CHILL. Not meditate"

"It's Saturday. I want to swim. I want Barton Springs."

"mmm..I want chocolate crepes!"

I stood up in the middle of my meditation and made a scene as I grabbed my noisy plastic lunch bag and ran out the door. I lasted less than an hour. Not the first time I've run out of a meditation retreat. Probably not the last.

So, I covered Nutella all over my brunch and swam all afternoon with Savanah. Spent some some cash. Worth it.

Savanah's Hot Tip: Just don't buy anything.
