Day 12: Unraveling
I took a super fun two-day trip to Dallas with Jose. I decided that I would continue on with my experiment even though I was technically on vacation. I woke up at 5:30am and got some work out of the way before Jose woke up. By the time we hit the road, I had already been up and active for five hours. I was feeling great! An hour into the road trip, serious fatigue attacked my body. It was again, almost unbearable. The days of not so early nights combined with bootcamp wake-up calls had finally gotten the best of me. I was simultaneously amped on caffeine, stuck in a car, and more tired than I had been in years. I felt like a five year old needing a nap. My mind, now living in crazyville went through all scenarios of being sleep deprived and once and for all decided that I was not suited for motherhood, or any other role that took me away from my beloved slumber. Who knows if I was talking out loud or not but Jose clearly noticed my tortured state and suggested I get some rest. The car nap probably saved me from homicide at the Texas State Fair. That night, Jose talked me into sleeping in and taking a short break from the experiment. Great idea.
